The Ninth annual Pro-Tec Pool party is going down and then back up and then back down again at Vans Skatepark in Orange.  All the combi action will be broadcasted live at vans.com/poolparty for all the suckas out there who won’t be able to make it.  Be sure to tune in to see last years Open Division champion Pedro Barros as well as Masters champion Steve Caballero defend their titles.   This years competition marks the last time a Masters Division will be featured, to be replaced by an invite only Legends category starting in 2014.

Congrats to SCS Team Rider Daniel Vargas for Qualifying 4th for the Protect pool party.  He had some amazing runs.  Brian Patch made his return to skating, and Mason Merlino got off a plane from Italy and drove from LAX to qualify 7th, congrats.

Along with last night’s protec qualifying Steve Caballero, Lance Mountain, Steve Alba, Pat Ngoho, and more had art up in the street course.  Sabla was rocking some tunes and skate art was at the skatepark.
